Heritage to explore at your own pace

The Romanesque churches of the Vall de Boí are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A visit combines architecture, painting and history with a stroll through the valley's villages.

Our accommodation in Barruera, Erill la Vall and Taüll offers a base for planning your own route. Check opening times before deciding the order: not every church opens daily.

Three visits to get you started

Taüll

Sant Climent

Discover Romanesque architecture and art. The video mapping recreates the apse paintings in their original setting.

Check the projection time and choose the appropriate ticket.

Boí

Sant Joan

Reproductions of the wall paintings help you imagine the medieval interior. Combine your visit with a walk around the village.

Erill la Vall

Santa Eulàlia

The bell tower is one of the valley's most recognisable features. Nearby, the Centre del Romànic offers further insights.

A suggested route

In the morning: visit Sant Climent de Taüll and stroll around Taüll. If opening times allow, add Santa Maria de Taüll.

After lunch: continue to Sant Joan de Boí and Santa Eulàlia in Erill la Vall. Allow time to explore the streets and enjoy the villages.

If you have more days: add Sant Feliu de Barruera, the Nativitat de Durro and the other churches. Adapt your route to official opening times and accessible churches.

This is a Noray suggestion, not a guided tour or a guaranteed schedule.

Plan your visit

Allow time for projections and travel between villages. Visiting several churches can take half a day or a full day, depending on stops and pace. For more detail, explore the Centre del Romànic's guided tours.

Is it a good rainy-day activity?

Indoor visits can be an option on a rainy day. Remember that walks and travel are outdoors, and confirm opening times.

Can I visit every church with one ticket?

Combined tickets cover a selection of churches. Check which churches each ticket includes and its validity; do not assume it covers the whole group.

Do I need to book?

To secure a projection time or type of visit, check the booking portal. Scheduled guided tours may have different conditions.
